Lavvus, for occasional bloggers
by Ivo Fokke
It's been a minute since I was consistently blogging, but every now and then, the itch to write something just hits. Earlier this year, I decided to dive back in and found myself searching for a blogging platform that checked all the boxes: easy to use, no self-hosting-hassle, no updates/upgrades, no logins required for readers, supports markdown, and can be seamlessly embedded into my existing HTML site.
After trying out a bunch of really cool apps, nothing really felt right. So, I figured, why not just create my own? I teamed up with a couple of my developer friends, revived the name Lavvus (and logo's), and voilà! the first blog post is a fact.

I realise blogging is the grand-dad of social media and to be honest I don't know what that makes me; an online boomer? But, do you want to occasionally create/write more than just slapping a picture with a couple of hastags on Instagram? Lavvus is here for you, the occasional blogger. no pressure just pleasure.
So what to expect from Lavvus?
- a very easy way to setup your blog;
- a simple way to create blog posts (in markdown);
- a fast way to publish your creations;
- seamlessly embedded into your existing website (if you want).
Yeah that all sounds nice, but what does it look like?
Well...euh, you are looking at it ;), something, something... eat your own dog food.
Feel like giving it a go?
